We are facing a new normal across the globe. Times of going to music festivals, sports events, and other entertainment is going to change in 2020 and into the future. No one knows for sure what might come of this whole situation. We need to stay positive of course but there is a good chance things will change going forward. There is also a chance that this virus could just disappear and never come back. These are all questions that cannot be answered at this particular time.
What will music be like going forward?
The music industry is dependent on live concerts. Venues around the world open their doors to concertgoers that are looking forward to seeing their favorite acts. There are tons of ways to listen to music but seeing a live show in your own hometown is probably the best. Will people in the future not be able to go to shows? There are so many questions about concerts and other events and everything else. It’s just a ramble of information that we can’t put together.
We will continue to share information with you about concerts and how they develop over the next several months. As of right now, there are no concerts available for you to go to. In fact, you won’t be able to see anything live for quite some time. There are still some big-time shows scheduled for this summer. We’ll have to see if those go on can once all the bands are lifted. For now, you have to wait and see. If you currently hold tickets, they will still be good if it is postponed. Always keep an eye out for the tickets sites to see if you can get your money back should it be canceled.
We’ve always talked about the best seats when you’re at a concert but now we’re talking about getting your money back for buying tickets. Unfortunately, no one knows if ticket purchasing will be the same after this. You can also expect supply and demand situations in the future. Will people be willing to go out as much as they used to? This is a great question because a lot of people were overpaying for tickets to see their favorite acts. If you had the best seat in the house, you are in a situation where you are paying a lot of money to see an event.
How Will Sports Handle This?
The news that is off the field is in full works for all the major sports leagues. There are trades, free-agent pickups, and everything else you can expect from the business side of sports. The one thing that isn’t happening is games, training, and other ways that athletes can get better. This is a troubling time for the industry of sports. This is also a troubling time for people to get exercise. A lot of gyms and other places of exercise will be closing for some time. Until everything gets situated we’ll be in a tough situation no doubt.
As we move forward through 2020 we will continue to share what we know and what we might think might happen. There are a lot of things that are unknown at this time so to speculate is not a great idea. Speculation only leads to fear and that is not what we want. Be on the lookout for some great events to come back and you might go to find yourself some great seats. Affordable seats will be the future most likely but that’s yet to be determined. Good luck out there and be safe.
